To the California Lutheran High School Association, Your Wildomar school is the perfect example of what many of us in this country and around the world believe to be true. Just because someone has the right to do something, doesn’t always make it right. Although, the two students recently expelled are much better off finishing their education in a well-balanced, loving environment elsewhere, what happened to them at your Wildomar school is not acceptable and will not go without public attention. Your organization may be proud of upholding its version of morality, but what you have done to these young women and their families is a violation of their freedoms as human beings. No student handbook, no Supreme Court can ever legislate against someone’s freedom as a human being to be themselves. However, thanks to the Wildomar school, your organization and the absurd actions against these young women, they will not be led into reparative or exgay therapy, but rather into a journey to self-acceptance. A journey that will lead them to discover real definitions of love and family. HeartStrong will always be there to provide support to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered students who are persecuted at religious schools. Not just around the world, but right there in Wildomar, too.
