To help with our outreach and educational work, we are excited to announce the launch of our HeartStrong Ambassador program. So many of our supporters and friends have asked about additional ways to help us in our important work. Now is your opportunity to do something in your community to help spread the word about HeartStrong’s mission, outreach and education.

There are just a few simple steps to joining the HeartStrong Ambassador Team. Read the carefully to find out if you have what it takes to help us make a difference for these students!

1. HeartStrong Ambassadors must have a commitment to the HeartStrong Mission. Our mission has been carefully crafted and time-tested. Understanding the importance of the work we do and why we do it the way we do is key.

2. HeartStrong Ambassadors must be willing to support HeartStrong financially. A minimum $10.00 a month pledge is required. This may mean that you have to take your lunch to work once a month instead of eating out. Or perhaps, you might have to empty your change jar once a month.

3. HeartStrong Ambassadors must be able to take copies of our HeartStrong newsletter and other materials to local events, meetings, GLBT friendly places of worship, GLBT Centers, bookstores, etc and gain permission to leave HeartStrong materials where ever community information is distributed.

4. HeartStrong Ambassadors must be willing to be called upon when a crisis arises and HeartStrong needs representation or presence in their community. Sometimes it will simply require the Ambassador to be a local voice when a local student is harassed or goes public with their story.

5. HeartStrong Ambassadors must be willing and able to help coordinate/promote the educational programs that the HeartStrong Outreach Team will be bringing to their community.
